PROFILE
Singer, songwriter
and multi-instrumentalist SEEFARI
(aka Tom Carroll) has been a fixture
on the reggae scene since the
80s. Bands he has fronted include
Tom Carroll and the Scales of
Justice, Dub Enforcement Agency
(DEA) and SEEFARI. He toured as
gutiarist with Sankofa, an African
band led by Dr. W.K. Amoaku, Phd,
Akan master drummer who is currently
the Executive Drector of the National
Theatre of Ghana in West Africa.
He has worked with musicians from
around the world including studio
work with Jamaican producer/musician
Anthony "Sangie" Davis
who has worked with Bob Marley
and Lee Perry and is the musical
director for The Twelve Tribes
of Israel. SEEFARI has headlined
numerous reggae festivals across
the USA including four years as
a headliner on the Bob Marley
Festival Tour. SEEFARI has shared
the stage with many reggae superstars
including Toots and the Maytals,
Steel Pulse and the Congos. He
has been backed by some of the
USA's best reggae bands including
Higher Heights (New Orleans),
Gypsi Fari (Chicago), Groove Master
(Toledo), and The Wailing Coyotes
(Hopiland/Phoenix).
SEEFARI has released numerous
cds and has received extensive
airplay on reggae and world music
radio around the world. His music
has been featured on several compliations
and in feature films. His latest
cd "SEEFARI Sampler"
was #1 for nine months on the
reggae chart at commercial modern
rock radio station 97X WOXY FM
in Cincinnati. SEEFARI is paving
the way for modern roots music
in the new millenium.
