PROFILE
Baby Ace began spinning music
and toying with remix ideas in 1987
while still in high school. Immediately
after graduating he started spinning
at the 2 top clubs in his hometown
- Mandeville, Jamaica. Within 6
months he was offered a DJ position
at one of the newest hotels in the
island on the North Coast, which
catered directly to the tourists
visiting the island. Baby Ace became
the resident DJ at the hotel as
well as spinning at 3 different
clubs on the weekends. Not to mention
being a guest DJ at one of the islands
newest radio stations. After about
a year, he migrated to the US to
further his education in Electronics
Engineering Technology. Having moved
to Atlanta, Georgia, Baby Ace soon
became one of the top club DJs in
the city. Over a period of 10 years
he was the resident DJ at 3 different
clubs, (always kept them packed)
and also became an alternate weekend
guest DJ for WCLK 91.9FM. In 1999
he was awarded the people's choice
award for the Best Solo DJ in Atlanta,
and in the same year he was offered
the opportunity to help open a recording
studio where he was the recording
and mixing engineer. While still
holding things down at the Footprints
Nightclub, (every Friday & Saturday
night for about 5 years straight)
he began working part-time at WAEC
860AM as a shift engineer/announcer.
He soon became more involved in
radio by hosting 2 "Reggae"
based radio shows on the AM airwaves.
Still in search of his golden
opportunity, Baby Ace moved to California,
close to the Bay Area where with
the help of an enthusiastic friend,
he landed a residential DJ spot
at the Island Paradise Club. Pursuing
other opportunities that were lead
by other responsibilities, Baby
Ace moved to the LA area in California
(where he is now based). Hanging
on to his love for broadcasting,
and boasting the talent to move
people musically, he started his
own Internet Radio Station on June
9th 2002 on live365. His Internet
Radio Station has rapidly grown
to a favorite among many and now
boasts that over 9000 listeners
worldwide have "Baby Ace Radio"
locked into their internet radio
presets. Throughout his career,
Baby Ace mastered the art of remixing
which has always set his musical
presentation aside from all other
DJs, and his "personal exclusive
remixes" have no doubt helped
him to become a favorite DJ to hundreds
of thousands, and possibly millions
of Reggae/Hip Hop lovers all over
the world. Baby Ace is no stranger
to the Dancehall Reggae scene having
played alongside some of the biggest
and best in the business. Such as
: Stone Love, Bass Odyssey, Bodyguard,
Metromedia, Waggy T, Ranaissance,
Poison Dart, Mellosound, Super Gold,

featuring artists like : Shaggy,

Hammond, Buju Banton, Merciless,

Since moving to California, Baby
Ace worked with Johncrow Entertainment,
to back performances of artists
like, Spragga Benz, Assasin, and
Mr Easy. Most recently, he played
a very instrumental part in the
production of the Killah Pride -
Predatah Squad Vol 1 Mixed CD, which
gave him an opportunity to work
with the talent of KRS-ONE, Shinehead,
Mad Lion, Edley Shine(from Born
Jamericans) and Nickey Fungus.
