"Ever-G"

EVER-G was born, Everett G. Streete to two loving parents, two older brothers and four older sisters who were always looking out for him. He was born in the small district of Cash-Hill, Hanover Parish, Jamaica, and grew up there. He started singing at the age of 4 at church and school functions.
He attended the Mt. Hannah Elementary School, always enjoying singing and performing whenever and wherever the opportunity presented itself. A scholarship took him to Rusea's High school, where he was privileged to perform with the school band at age 14. Two years later at the age of 16, he performed as the lead vocalist with the band. After graduating from high school, EVER-G went on to college. Along with being the lead vocalist for college band, he played keyboards and guitar. This placed him in the public's eye and resulted in him appearing with other groups mainly for experience and exposure.

EVER-G grew up listening to Reggae legends Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer and Dennis Brown. He was fascinated and intrigued by Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions because of their intricate harmonies. Although these artists influenced him and his musical style, G stays original and does not try to imitate any of them.

"Ever-G"

EVER-G migrated to the United States in 1984, leaving his parents, one brother and two sisters behind in Jamaica. One of his brothers lives in England and two sisters reside in Canada. A very short time after arriving here on the East Coast of the United States, EVER-G became known for his singing and for playing Rhythm Guitar. His first recording was done at Tuff Gong recording studio in Kingston, Jamaica. This was early in his career when he was lead singer for the band 'Children Of Jah'.

Over the past eighteen years, EVER-G has preformed with various Reggae Bands here in the United States. These include The Unconquered People, Positive Vibrations, D-KGB, The Botton Lion and Sonz of The Most High.

EVER-G has opened shows for Third World, Shabba Ranks, Yellowman and Peter Tosh among others. He also did studio work with Gregory Isaacs and preformed with Don Carols, Michigan & Smiley, Sanchez, Half-Pint, Red Dragon & Ninjaman.
Over the years, EVER-G has inspired many fans with his music all over the East Coast and on the college circuit. He performs consistently on Festivals and in Nightclubs up and down the Eastern seaboard.

In 1997 EVER-G recorded and co-produced a critically acclaimed CD for GurneyMan entitled "Jah Gave Us Music". EVER-G's music is inspired by what he most believes in; Jah, Peace, Love, Family and Life. Just to mention a few of his songs:

WORLD PEACE - Something that we all want and need desperately is expressed in this song.
JAH CREATOR AND FATHER - Jah is always there to guide, protect and take care of us.
YOU - Written about the Special lady in his life who is always by his side supporting him through life's ups and downs.
MISS BEAUTIFUL - Tells the story about his Mom's love; she would always tell him to be strong and follow his dreams.
LIFE - The precious thing we all deal with each and everyday.

EVER-G intends to continue to write, sing and produce positive and conscious music indefinitely.
