"TECHNO
DREAD "
The Two Original Members of Techno Dread,
Tony Nicholson and Asho Jeni met in Key
West Florida in 1990. Tony was already
in Key West for some time; running a very
successful one man band. Asho came to
Key West in 1990 to replace the drummer
of a five piece reggae band which was
already performing in the Keys. Tony did
cameo appearances with this band and since
they were the only Rastas in the band,
they became friends. That lasted for about
a year and a half. The band went back
to Cape Cod and Asho stayed in Key West.
Tony then made Asho a offer he could not
refuse. He told Asho that they should
form a band, but until they find the other
members, they should perform as a two
man unit. The name "Techno Dread"
was chosen and within three months they
were number one, packing the clubs and
bars every time they plerformed. This went
on for two and a half years. They both
wanted to pursue solo careers and took
time off to do that. Eleven years would
pass and they meet again in Key West.
The chemistry remains and here they are,
back together again, wiser, musically
mature and definitely more experiencedd.
Enjoy.

"Techno Dread"
Greetings, we have just added two new
members to Techno Dread. We are now better
able to express our musical ideas and
creativity.
The two new members are: [1] Noel Aikens
versatile Keyboardist. [2]Denzel Simpson
, Master Bassist, they both have played
with most of, if not all of the better
Reggae artists of International stature
such as Third World, Rita Marley, the
Marley family and Burning Spear. They
have also worked with the Delfonics and
Percy Sledge. This is just a few of the
artists these brothers have performed
with. Noel and Denzil have released their
own CD called "Real High" which
is available at cdbaby.com
We are blessed to have these two new
members. At some point or the other all
the members of the band have worked together
at various venues around the USA. The
new Techno Dread has just finished its
first two music videos, so look for them
on the internet and other video outlets. The
videos were directed by James T. Brown.
Check out our Photo Page to see shots
of the new members, and check the Calendar
Page to see where we are playing and when.
We are also pleased to announce the DVD/CD
release party for "Techno Dread Behind
